April Speaks on Being a Lifetime Entrepreneur

For more than half her life, April has been an entrepreneur, mostly with her husband. Growing up with a father who was an entrepreneur, she started her first business at 22. “We decided we were going to do home delivery of propane tanks.” Leasing a Ford Ranger, she and her husband would deliver and exchange propane tanks for gas grills. Their business was successful, and they saved enough money to purchase their first home together.

How April Pivoted Her Company During COVID

Many of their clients were not affected by COVID, but one aspect of her business that considerably changed was how she worked with clients. Instead of meeting face-to-face, she and her clients would work together during a Zoom meeting. One of her clients, who own a medical-based company, pivoted well during COVID and were so busy they hired one of April’s children to work in their company.

Getting Your Business Online

April’s business, Touching Clients, is an agency that works with small to medium-sized companies to expand their digital footprint from foundation to execution to management. “Businesses are using more tools to streamline and automate their processes.” She has led many training workshops on business planning, creating marketing strategies, social media, and digital marketing.
