Classrooms, seminars and conferences are great places to learn, but so is the real world. It’s not called the “School of Hard Knocks,” for no reason. You have to jump in, apply yourself and make an effort to learn from what’s happening to you. It’s called “reflection.” Do it, evaluate the outcome, make corrections and do it again until you succeed consistently. Learning from life masters is easy. Just look around you and study the people who are “getting it right.” Here’s a head start on your next class: Successful people know three things:

  • Who they are
  • Where they’re going
  • How they’re going to get there

“When you see a good man, try to emulate his example, and when you see a bad man, search yourself for his faults.” ~Confucius
