One Day At A Time

The old admonition to “take it one day at a time,” works because it’s true. You can’t do more than what is before you. Any sports coach in the country will tell you the same thing with a slightly different twist, “Focus on the game before you, not the one you just won or lost; not the one the week after.”

Sales are no different. Pay attention to the client you’re with, or that is next on your schedule. Focus on their needs, their wants, and the benefits that can help them. Think about what you can do for them. When you focus on one person at a time they feel it. They know it. They appreciate it. Your focus will be rewarded. Once one client is taken care of, then turn to the next. Every customer may not be the only pebble on your beach, but they should feel like they are.
